High-performance LEDs of the best quality which are housed in a waterproof (IP66) unbreakable polycarbonate profile (UV-stabilized) generate a very uniform line of light in the upper half without any bright/dark zones. Thanks to the current control of the single LED groups by means of state-of-the-art ICs (integrated circuits), a uniform brightness is achieved over the entire length of the profile, which is unachievable in simple systems with resistor-based current control. Due to the waterproof glueing of the tube ends and the PCB grid, the outer 10-15 mm do not emit any light. This light profile can easily be glued into slots with a width of 10 mm, e.g. in wood, plasterboard and similar materials in different depths. If only one line of light is supposed to be visible on the surface, the profile is fully put into the slot. If an additional lateral visibility is supposed to be achieved, the profile can be fixed in different depths. In order to simplify an even installation, two grooves at an interval of 6 mm are available on both sides.
